"Daydreaming of the Alcazar of Segovia"

Today's illustration shows an ancient parchment within which the the floor plan of the Alcazar of Segovia is drawn. On this, the imposing castle arises in an oneiric way.

Due to the fact that the illustrations would be shown in animations, the different scenes were drawn on separate layers. So in this, and in the upcoming illustrations, I'll show you the illustrations with their different layers.

All the illustrations were created using the traditional oil painting technique in digital format by @Mentiradeloro

👉 This work was created for the commemoration of the 550th anniversary of the Proclamation of Queen Isabella the Catholic. The illustrations, which showed images of Isabella's life, were projected in a video mapping show on the east facade of the Alcázar of Segovia on Friday, October 4, 2024. Queen Isabella the Catholic as a child

This is the first of the illustrations I created to commemorate the 550th anniversary of the Proclamation of Queen Isabella the Catholic

It shows Isabella as a child, when she was still an infanta. Behind her, the Lady of the Spanish Cathedrals emerges, the imposing cathedral of Segovia. In the background, the Guadarrama mountain.

All the illustrations were created using the traditional oil painting technique in digital format.

Proclamación reina Isabel la Católica

Conjunto de ilustraciones creadas para conmemorar el 550 aniversario de la Proclamación de la Reina Isabel la Católica.

Las ilustraciones, que mostraban imágenes de la vida de Isabel y su entorno, fueron proyectadas en un espectáculo de video-mapping de unos diez minutos de duración sobre la fachada este del Alcázar de Segovia el día Viernes 4 de octubre de 2024 a las 21:00 horas.

Todas las ilustraciones fueron creadas utilizando la técnica tradicional de pintura al óleo en formato digital.

Proyecto desarrollado por la productora técnica de eventos e instalaciones fijas Emotique.
